The quickest way to find out if you need to see a doctor is via a Klinik consultation. If you submit the consultation you will recieve a response by the end of the next working day and you may not even need to see a doctor. Please click on the picture on the right of this.

In order to provide appointments to those who need them on the same day, there will be a duty doctor each day. The duty doctor will not be pre-booked and can provide same day assistance.

As each doctor will take their turn as duty doctor, we will not be able to guarantee which GP you will see if you make a request for same day assistance. Please also bear in mind that the duty doctor on some days will be a locum doctor.

We also recognise the difficulty of ringing for an appointment first thing in the morning, however we request that all calls for same day appointments and home visits are made as early on the day as possible.

Home Visits

Home visits are made on completion of morning surgeries, in cases of genuine medical need. Please telephone before 10:30 whenever possible and be prepared to give medical details to the receptionist.

Emergencies will of course be visited at any time.

Reception Information

The staff behind the reception desk will assist you in making emergency and routine appointments to see your doctor, undertake repeat prescriptions, answer numerous and varied questions and offer help and assistance at all times.

The receptionist is trained to ask questions regarding the reason for your appintment ; this is so that you can receive the most appropriate medical care and help the doctor prepare for your appointment.

It is a legal requirement that confidentiality of patient’s records is maintained at the highest level, by all staff.

We respectfully request that you treat all staff with the same courtesy with which you would expect to be treated yourself. Any patient being abusive or aggressive to staff in any way will be removed from the practice register without hesitation in the line with NHS zero tolerance policy.

Cancel an Appointment

If you no longer need, or cannot keep an appointment, please let us know so someone else can be seen in your place.

Failure to attend booked appointments

If patients fail to attend a booked appointment 3 times in the same year without a good cause, the practice will consider the removal of that patient from the list.

Late For Your Appointment

Please attend your appointment on time, if you are late you may not be seen. If you are not seen you will not be able to rearrange your appointment until the next working day-except in the event of an medical emergency that requires immediate attention.

Text Reminder Service

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.

To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.

Please remember to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.

Accessible Information

The Accessible Information Standard aims to ensure that patients (or their carers) who have a disability or sensory loss receive information they can access and understand, for example in large print, Braille or via email, and professional communication support if they need it, for example from a British Sign Language Interpreter.

This applies to patients and their carers who have information and or communication needs relating to a disability, impairment or sensory loss.  It also applies to parents and carers of patients who have such information and or communication needs where appropriate.

Individuals most likely to be affected by the Standard include people who are blind or deaf, who have some hearing or visual loss and people with a learning disability.  However, this list is not exhaustive.

If you feel that this applies to you or someone you care for, please complete the Accessible Information Standard patient form and return to the practice.
