GP net earnings

All GP Practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in Knowle House Surgery in the last financial year was £116.489  before tax and National Insurance. This is for 4 full time GPs, 4 part time GPs and 1 locum GP working for more than 6 months.

However it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is misleading because it does not take into account how much time the GP’s actually spend working in the surgery, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor make any comparison with any other practice.
