Housebound Covid Vaccinations
Covid-19 booster vaccination
If you haven’t already received your Covid-19 booster vaccination, as we normally see you in your own home, we wanted to confirm arrangements for getting your Covid-19 booster vaccination.
Perhaps with the help of family or friends, as our services are in very high demand at this time, wherever possible we would ask that you attend one of our vaccination centres. You can book a vaccination appointment by calling 119 or online at Book or manage your coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination - NHS (www.nhs.uk) any access needs can be identified during the booking process. This is the quickest way to get your Covid-19 booster vaccination.
If you are unable to attend a vaccination centre, NHS Devon Clinical Commissioning Group’s vaccine support team is working with local delivery providers of Covid Vaccinations to carry out booster vaccinations for patients where their GP practice is not administering Covid-19 vaccinations, and will be in contact with you to make arrangements.
There is very high demand for home visits and we thank you for your understanding and patience as it will take us some time to visit everyone who requires a vaccination at home.
You will be contacted by telephone by a member of the Covid-19 vaccination team to arrange a home visit to provide your booster vaccination. On you appointment day the team will show identification on arrival.
During the visit a member of the team will take your details, provide you with the vaccination and will wait with you for a short period following your vaccination. Please have NHS number to hand if possible and wear clothing that can easily be removed in order to have the injection in your upper arm.
If you have not been contacted by the vaccine support team by 30th November, and wish to arrange an appointment, please contact them on 01752 398836 or by email on email@example.com
